If You Can’t Find The Perfect Diet For Men Then Make One

Plenty of men start off on the right foot when they are trying out a new diet. Whether they’re waiting for their box of food to be delivered or intently reading the newest diet based cookbook, sometimes that initial spark ends up being a fleeting
moment. Everyone just doesn’t have it in them to follow diets for men that have a million rules or cost a lot of money. However, there are a few things you can do to taper down that beer gut without breaking the bank or changing most of your eating habits. Instead of removing a bunch of staples from your diet, try including a few new products.

Some of the biggest reasons that people end up gaining weight is because they either overeat at meals, eat too many high fat/caloric foods or, a variable combination of the two. In a society that runs almost entirely off of the convenience of fast foods with little regard for nutritional value but a huge focus on instant meal ‘bargain hunting’, it’s no surprise that both we and the meals keep getting bigger. One way to fight this epidemic is simply by adding better foods and beverages in place of the unhealthy ones. Green Tea is way better than soda and juices because it has less calories and actually works to speed up the metabolism. Now, don’t expect six pack abs in a week  because you’ve been sipping on Green Tea, but you can lose weight just by drinking it. If you aren’t satisfied by the results after a few months, feel free to reduce your consumption of other unhealthy foods until you have a diet plan that will work with your life.

Another supplement that you can add to your daily routine are protein shakes. You can probably guess the main ingredient in protein shakes, but did you know that they also come in varieties that can satisfy your hunger as well as your daily vitamin and mineral requirement? It isn’t recommended that you pound a protein shake with your dinner, but you can have one in place of a snack. By adding protein to your body, you’ll feel more full in between meal and will likely end up consuming less food. So, you don’t have to change a lot about the way you can in the way of taking things out, but you can and will lose weight if you properly incorporate Green Tea and protein shakes into your life.

Shhhh! I’m Not on a Diet!

When men need to lose weight, they like to do it without appearing to be on a diet.  Instead of a complete diet overhaul, men should learn simple and discreet ways of swapping their high-fat, high-calorie favourites for healthier versions. That way, they’ll lose weight without anyone even noticing they’re on a diet.

Slimm Green Tea, refreshing and health promoting

All you have to do is switch from their normal choice to a healthier eating option. So instead of that fry-up, men should grill their meat and add lots of veggies instead of fried bread.

Grill instead of fry. Fruit over cake. Water instead of soda pop. Chicken, fish, or very small portions of lean red meat over that huge steak or burger.

To lose weight even quicker, replace lunch with a protein shake or smoothie. Drink 4-5 cups of green tea a day. Get some exercise, even if it’s only a good brisk walk. Lifting weights and strength training is the best way to hasten weight loss. Muscle burns a lot more calories than fat so having extra muscle means you burn more calories in everything you do.

Oh, and did I mention? 30 minutes of sex burns 100 calories. It may not sound like much, but it adds up!

The Mediterranean Diet

The “Mediterranean Diet” describes a delicious, healthy way of eating and drinking. Traditional Mediterranean meals are based on plentiful fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes; an abundance of pastas, breads, rice, and other whole grains; nuts and peanuts; extra virgin olive oil; fish, poultry and lean red meat; cheese and yogurt; and moderate amounts of wine.

Grains, vegetables, and fruits should be eaten at most meals, because they are important sources of vitamins, minerals, energy, antioxidants, and fiber.

Olives and olive oil are central to the Mediterranean diet. Olives are universally eaten whole, and widely used for cooking and flavoring in the Mediterranean. Olive oil is the principal source of dietary fat used for cooking, baking, and for dressing salads and vegetables. Extra virgin olive oil is highest in health-promoting fats, phytonutrients and other important micronutrients.

Nuts, beans, legumes and seeds are good sources of healthy fats, protein, and fiber.

Cheese and yogurt are eaten regularly, but in low to moderate amounts.

Fish and shellfish are important sources of healthy protein. Fish such as tuna, herring, sardines, salmon and bream are rich in essential heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and shellfish and crustaceans including mussels, clams and shrimp have similar benefits. Fish and shellfish are not typically battered and fried.

Wine is consumed regularly but moderately.

Meats are eaten in small portions. Poultry is a good source of lean protein without the high levels of saturated fat found in some cuts of red meat. With ground meats, 90 percent lean/10 percent fat is a sound choice.

Sweets are consumed in small portions. Fruits are ever-present on the table, and are a normal way to end a meal. Gelato and sorbet are consumed a few times a week, in small portions.

This diet is about heart health, weight loss and permanent maintenance. It is also a lifestyle change as benefits from this diet may be lost if a return to unhealthy food consumption is made. With so many hundreds of good tasting choices though, there is really no hardship involved!
